Hey Rick , just getting caught up on your progress on both builds and I'm really starting to like your Fokker -super cool so far !

Terri

Thanks Terri! I appreciate you looking in. Since I took the photos about an hour ago I have worked on the nasty seem and filler cap on the upper fuselage of the SE. I also managed to fix another small fit issue not seen in the photos by popping the part loose and supergluing back in place. The hood is now glued on  ;D

Both planes looking great so far, with excellent interiors.
Giuseppe

Thanks Giuseppe. Your comments are appreciated. I am getting ready for a quick trip to the Hobby Barn, need to pick up some strip plastic for the second Encore triplane interior.

I have made further progress. I filled and sanded the seam on the fuel tank and have added the hood and lower engine cover. I also drilled out the end of the MG and have primed it with black. I have placed it in position for a couple of photos but will wait until after painting to permanently attach. I still have just a bit of filling to do where the cockpit section meets the rear fuselage then I will prime.

PS: I forgot that before priming I need to drill a lot of holes for rigging  :'(

The SE5a is all primed and ready for painting. Looks a lot better than the before sanding and priming photos.

Now back to the DR1 and F1 !

Thanks Gregory as always I appreciate you looking in and commenting! I think the pre priming photos using super Macro made this one look a little messier than it is  :o Hopefully these photos show a bit more realistic appearance  ;D

The SE is really shaping up well. I really admire those who can tackle multiple builds and still maintain the highest standards on them all. Looking forward to seeing progress on the Dr. 1.

Thanks Manni! Was it you that did the beautiful streaking with Prussian Blue and another color? If so I would love some more info on your technique!

Tug,
Your comments are greatly appreciated. Yes I am much happier with how it looks after the primer...I was a bit worried after those Macro photos  :-\

Very nice job, Rick, and very inspirative, I hope you do not mind I download the photos of your build and use them as reference and inspiration for the "little brother" I am building now.

Watching your progress with great interest!

Cheers

Yes, they do have a habit of setting you back on your chair once they come up on the screen  :o It's amazing what you don't see until that point but then it's probably not a bad thing as you can spot things before its too late  :D

Now have my Dr1 and a trip to Hannants procured the datafile  :)

Keep it coming Rick

Ondra

Thank you for the very kind and generous remark Ondra! I admire greatly what you do in 1/144th scale and find your little brother equally inspiring! By the way it is your friend who built the DR1 using Prussian blue and umber oils posted in this thread:

Any info he would share as to his process would be appreciated.
