That was fast for sure; the good news is we can probably anticipate a Duellist offering in the near future! ;)

The E1 and EIII are still available so you might not have the markings but the EII/EIII early have the same partset as the EIII.
Now when the EI sells out that is a little more unique since it has fewer wingribs (1 each wing)

i got this and the Early Snipe just in time. both of these are really important to me, the E.II/E.III can be built into the ship Udet got his first kill in, and i've got the Pheon decals to do Barker's VC Snipe.

Early Snipe will sell out soon, when the WNW site would tell you how many you could order the max on the EII/EIII early was 33 and Snipe 41. that was late December.

There were also less than 100 Roland D.VIb, and only 12 Junkers J.1, but single seaters appear to sell faster (and have larger production runs).

the Biff and Early Fee were around 100. The E.III late was at 138, it's popular, probably because of the markings (Richofen, Kobes, the Immelmann death plane, etc. )

on the other hand, if you're in the market for an Albatros B.II, no hurry: max order at the time was 1,442.

unfortunately they've disabled that feature on their site.

It may pay for those who want one to get one soon.
The Ell/lll has its own sprue G that is unavailable in the other boxes.

you can also build the plane in which Udet became Udet right out of the box...

if you're short on funds, fasting is like, super healthy. :P

That Duelist was issued when both kits were NEW. I think, but am not sure it may have preceded the individual releases. IIRC it sold out extremely quickly. Perhaps the fastest WNW sell out to date?

quickest would seem to be the J5 D.V trilogy:

E.III/DH.2 Duelist : 672 days
Albatros Greentails: 201 days to sell out

this has now sold out at Weta, too.

glad I got mine, only single airframe I'm as keen on as the Eindecker Udet flew for his first kill is Barker's Camel.

i'm also delighted i got a pair of Albatrios. the Albatrio was always destined to sell out in record time. it's a small run of a popular kit of a popular subject. Albatri holders, let's keep the pressure on Bo to do that book. if i get my Albatri 1/10 as spiffy as the ones he makes i'll be delighted.

:) I'm doing as we speak. But I expect to write most of it over the summer months when I'm away from home/ bench....

No crystal ball, but I would not be at all surprised if the WNW Albatros D.V/a reappears again. There are a ton of theme angles left for them to mine. And of course they are still holding to the story that the deluxe kits will be released one day.

Anyway, I've got 11 in the stash... I suspect I'm not the only one who has far more than he/she will ever build...

When the "Albatrio" was first announced I thought it would be a monumental marketing disaster, did I ever misjudge that one! Sold out in just over 6 months, that's impressive and I agree with Bo's prediction, there will be more. ( and next time I won't miss the boat!)

Lance

Lol I’m just a small numbers guy, 2 singles and the triple.   :o

It would be pretty interesting to know what the productions runs were for the average wnw model and the camels and Albatros

Probably big numbers in comparison
