Will there be a floral tribute from the forum as a whole? It would be nice for there to be something identifiable as being from us all

Oh, it would be a great idea to organize a floral tribute by the forum members.

Thank you, Dave for the information.

IMHO, the idea of a floral tribute from Forum members is great. I would gladly participate. Dave, do you think you (as living close, as far as I understand) could organize at the floral service the possibility for the forum members to transfer money to a common account and let them prepare flowers from us?
BTW, the link to the floral service website is not working.

If this goes ahead I would very much like to contribute a little something for a floral tribute.

Des' family has indicated a preference for donations to the Royal Flying Doctor Service rather than flowers for his service.

Des strongly supported the work of the Flying Doctor Service, which works to provide emergency medical and primary health care services to people in rural and remote Australia.

The link for donations to support the Royal Flying Doctor Service is:

https://www.flyingdoctor.org.au/support-us/

Anyone wishing to donate specifically toward the future running costs of the forum can do so via the donation button on the home page of the forum.

A eulogy to Des, on behalf of his forum members, will form part of his funeral service on Thursday. The eulogy will be posted here afterwards.

Living in Central Queensland, I've seen the fantastic work that the Royal Flying Doctor Service do. I can't think of a more fitting and worthwhile charity to donate to in Des's memory.
