Fokker E.II
« on: January 14, 2018, 01:49:29 PM »
My first ever completed 1/32 WW1 aircraft. The superb WNW offering built 99% OOTB. Great fun and certainly different from my usual armour subjects....

Congratulations Gary on producing such a superb model, your move from armour to WW1 aircraft has really shown that you are a very talented modeller. For your first completed 1:32 scale WW1 aircraft you have done an excellent job, the overall finish is extremely well done and the rigging is exactly as it should be, faultless. I'm looking forward to seeing what you do next, it will surely be another treat.

Thank you Des. Greatly appreciated  :D

I have a couple more WNW kits in the stash - looks like the armour kits won't be seeing the bench for a while  ;D

The above pics were taken in a bit of a hurry so lighting is awful so they are a bit washed out. Took some more to replace the originals so hopefully those are better....

That's really a very nice model and you built it very well. If you hadn't told us, nobody would have known that this is your first aircraft model. I like especially your weathering that makes the surface of Feldgrau over all very interesting to look at.
Best regards

Gary,
You've produced a beautiful result here, very neat work and the finish is exceptional. I'd say your transition from Armour to stringbags has been quite successful!
Cheers,
Lance

Very nice E. II, it looks well used and very realistic. I am storing this build away for reference.

What can I add? This is a first class model in every way. Let's hope that you will spend more time on aircraft in future as your mosels and builds are worth following.

Real eye candy. Most excellent weathering. You obviously have some transferable techniques from other genres.
Now, onwards and upwards - I hope you will apply your obvious talents to other WWI models.

Cheers

Great model all around. Fine weathering for sure. And I hope you will slowly decide to give up armour and fix totally to early aircraft :-) Thanks for sharing this one.
