Looks great Prez.

Regarding the ignition wire colors -- I have been trying to research this myself, my hunch is that they varied according to manufacturer, probably were multiple suppliers of ignition wires then as today; yellow cloth seems plausible based on period photos and other old engines I've seen.

Still digging around for better info...

Przemek, your metallic finish on the engine parts looks great!  What paint did you use, and how did you apply it?  Thanks.

Hello Prz:  I saw your Roden Spad VII unfold on another Forum and was amazed by your work.  I am equally amazed by your work on this one.  The engine is outstanding.

Looking forward to more.

Best

Thank you, everybody.

UncleTony, thank you for the wire infos. After all, I took the option of possible variations in the colour due to different manufacturers. And painted them in black...

rhallinger, for metallic colours I use acrylic Citadel colours and rather airbrush them, trying to avoid brush touches.

For now the assembly is over, all the wires, tubes and gear I was going to add is already on.

And after test-fitting to the fuselage:

I am still contemplating if I should add some wash. The photos seem to point out it would be better with it. But in real and with natural light I really do not see the necessity to emphasize the details.

Simply spectacular looking engine. The wiring is exactly what I wish mine would look like.

Chris

Brilliant engine, excellent detail and finish.. I think you should leave it clean.  I use weathering to hide imperfections, but you have none!

Thank you, everybody
Yet, the engine is not so clean anymore. I have added some dirty wash. And closed it definitely between the fuselage halves.

Thanks, Gregory!

Some progress:
1) I have just realised that the carburettors in my model are not connected to anything! It was too late to build the entire fuel installation, but I have added the main fuel line going along the longeron, which will be seen through the opening in the side panel. I have also added black throttle regulation line, which will also be visible.

2) I have cut the additional cooling openings pertinent to Fuchs's 1346/18 I am building.

3) Control surfaces got the short wire sections to assist fitting them to the stabilisers

4) I have also filled some gaps along the fuselage halves joint. Not to destroy the nice seam line along the joint by overflowing it with CA glue I have used the Tamiya tape.

The bottom seam was treated likewise.

Przemol,
This is one beautiful Build you have going. Your engine is most impressive and the rest the same.
I actually pulled my Kit out of the stash to compare and get some perspective. If it were not for the Group Build I would start it now, inspiring work Sir!! 8)
Cheers,
