Hello my gentlemen,
I have now finished the weathering of the interieur of the Hansa. Next will be the engine and the closing of the fuselage.
But now here are some more pictures of the old, abandoned swan.

Bye,

truly beautiful; I think my favorite part is the instruments dangling from their bezels. keep up the excellent work!

Thank you all my friends for your very encouraging words!  ;D
Now it was time for the engine (the upper half, because the lower part will be hidden by the fuselage)
First I build it and added some lead wire and Albion tubes to let it look more realistic.
After that I sprayed a random pattern of brown, red and orange over it. I Put some chipping fluid over it and gave it a coat of flat black.
After chipping the black, I applied different pigments, wetened with white spirit and let it dry 2 days.
After that I took a stiff brush and removed most of the pigments again. Then I have added some engine oil and grime. After this was dry a careful treatement with slimey grime light and dark green was done to simulate some Algae.
Here is the result.

See you soon with the next update.
Cheers,
Manni

Beauty Manni, looks like it has been out in the salty air for a while.

Truly amazing work, Manni!  That engine looks real!  Disused, worn, torn and beat all to hell, but real.
Cheers,
Bud

That is art of the highest order. I wholly agree with Bud - an utterly decrepit engine!

Really a nicely done engine, Manni. I can even smell seasalt, oil and rotting wood...

Hello my friends, thank you all for your kind and welcome comments!  :)
Some minor progress on the Hansa:
The engine was installed and the Hex camo was applied.

The housing of the rev meter was hollowed out and a cable was added to the hanging out instrument.

The fuel tank cap was scratched and a small chain was added to the fuel tank.

The engine cowling was thinned out and some PE parts and holes were added.

I decided to use the more elegant beaching dollies. Sadly Wingnuts didn't provide any PE parts for them. So I had to do them by my own.
I drilled with a 0.3mm drill 12 holes around each side of the axis of the wheel. With 0.2mm wire I made the 24 spokes.

Since I decided to do an unknown machine I added the generator and made it look rusty and worn. The prop will be added later.

The engine needed some more debris, leafs and a bird's nest.

That's it for now. Hope you enjoy this build,
bye,
Manni
