Hi

Here are a few images of WWI types taken at last Saturday's wonderful evening air show.

Thanks for looking.

Thanks Juan. Old Warden is a wonderful airfield and in my opinion, offers the best photo opportunities of any air show in the UK.

That's a cracking pic (#1) of the Brisfit you took there AD. I'm intending to go again in September - hopefully the flying display of the WWI aircraft won't be affected by high wind this year.

I've yet to see that mono plane fly so well pleased to see these pics - thanks for posting

Regards - Tug

Great photos, that monoplane is a real treat to see. I envy you the opportunity to view these beauties in person in the air, thanks for sharing the experience!
Cheers,
Lance

Thanks for the kind words, Tug and Lance. I am a member of the Shuttleworth Veteran Aeroplane Society which gives me a sizeable discount on the entrance fee at shows. The evening air show cost me £11, which I think is an absolute bargain, particularly as the weather played ball!

The highlight for me (although not WWI), was the sight and sound of three Hawker Hurricanes in formation!

Great photos! Thanks again. I really like the second Brisfit one.

For many years I lived and worked not too far from Shittleworth. How could I have ever missed this jewel?

Best wishes
Nigel

Thanks Nigel. I'm pleased that you liked them. I always enjoy seeing the big old Bristol being displayed. The evening sunshine made a wonderful evening very special.

Thanks Des. It was a lovely show in beautiful weather, but with a relatively small number of WWI types flying.
