Thanks to best friend and forum member Jorgo I was able to recover some in progress pics.
First of all : the water.

I painted a styrofoam board different grey/green colours using cheap acrylics. After this first layer had dried thoroughly I applied a layer of transparent acrylic caulk about 2-3mm thick stippled on with a thick round brush. This was repeated several(about 5-6 layers)times ,followed by again several layers of Acrylic clear gloss stippled on.
Most important is to let the layers dry thoroughly before adding the next.
the whole process took about 6 weeks to finish.I then was able to peel it off the styrofoamboard and apply it to the diorama base.

Having done that,I painted the wave tops with clear gloss mixed with some clear white acrylic paint, again using the stipple method plus a slight dry brushing.

This Roden Albatros W4 rides on a bow wave made of clear silicone i had modelled on a glass plate .The floats were cut down horizontally and pressed into the silicon.
The whole affair now can be placed anywhere on the dio .
That's it for today,guys..
Cheers!
