Guy,
The "worn" look of the painted markings is a great effect. That and the subtle shading are bringing the silver scheme all together, very real looking. This is going to be a spectacular model, lovely work so far!

Hi Guy
I'm really enjoying this log having just recently found it. Stunning work - so crisp - and a great subject.
Thanks,
Alistair

Wow, very nice! The markings & lettering are so clean, yet look hand painted in scale. I know that sounds weird, but I mean that with the utmost respect, it looks real!

Thank you to all
I was having a dry run with the undercart and found the axle would bend no matter what I did. So have decided to replace the axle and supports with more brass tubing for rigidity, and thought I may as well carve off the moulded elastic bungee to replace with string to give it a more 3 dimensional appearance...
Cheers

Thanks Gary,
Finished the undercart - I did find it quite tricky with the numerous little struts. I also managed to snap one of the trailing legs and ended up pinning it as it kept breaking with just glue. It's quite a job to make sure everything is lined up and symmetrical, with the wings at the correct angle. Again, not the kit - just me and my fat fingers
so far I've managed to drop the fuselage twice (causing damage twice), snap the undercarriage leg, and cover the top wing with splashes of airbrush reamer (causing a near total sand back and repaint) having just finished it
Despite my failings the kit is an absolute gem!

It seems I missed this update. Fantastic work on the gear, bungees and rigging set up!

The Tail Feathers are beautiful. Especially the turnbuckles which line up perfectly with the wires!
