Need help with Model Airways Albatros D.Va
« on: December 17, 2016, 01:28:03 AM »
I'm working on this kit and have hit a snag.  I'm building the bottom wing ribs but the instructions are unclear to me.  Specifically, I'm unsure about placement of stiffeners.  I believe (but I'm unsure) that stiffeners go on each side of the ribs, fore and aft of the holes for the rear wing spar, except for ribs 52 and 65, which clearly have them only on the back side, and ribs 51 and 64, which have them on neither side.  I'm unclear whether this is true of the front wing spar holes (again excluding 51 and 64).  If stiffeners go on both sides fore and aft of the front spar hole, then it seems they would overlap the stiffeners at the very front of these ribs, since the strips used for the stiffeners are wider than shown on the plans.
I'd be grateful for any guidance anyone can give me on this.

I'm hoping Martin (UFAG) will see this post as he is doing an amazing job right now with this kit and may have some advice...

meanwhile, check this out and be inspired:
