Paintwork looks great Terri!

Is this the variant with the overpainting of the French roundels on the upper surface of the top wings?

Hi Ian , yes the French roundels are over sprayed on the top wing on this variant .

Thank-you folks for the comments , decals are next !

Hi Terri, I thought it was - will you be spraying over the decals or hand painting?

Hi Ian , in this scale I will be spraying the over coat on the decals . With  Vallejo's Metal coat I found when building the mustang that this paint can be very finely misted . I use a 0.066 needle in my airbrush , I use this size for all my airbrushing so I get excellent atomization of the paint .

I am looking forward to seeing this!  I was really apprehensive about overpainting decals but taking care with fine thin coats works a treat..

Having spent most of the day in front of the bench yesterday was able to get a good airbrush session in .

Every thing got a few coats of future for the decals and I glad that there is so few on this build ! :) Once dried another coat of future to seal the decals . Out comes the masking tape for doing ribs and other details and this was highlighted with Tamiya smoke followed by a wash of drity brown . Flat coating was next and I'm ready for stage of the weathering .
