Hansa W.29 post-war DLR markings
« on: July 10, 2016, 10:27:40 PM »
I'm finally ready to start building my WNW W.29, as the sole example used by DLR after the war.  In addition to the photo found in the W.29 Windsock Datafile (see http://forum.ww1aircraftmodels.com/index.php?topic=1397.msg22530#msg22530), I've found this photo in Air Enthusiast #71, page 28.

It shows what appears to be a weight table forward of the D, but I can't read it.  Here's a larger version.

It looks like the end characters on each line are Kg, but it doesn't have the weights filled in.  The first letter of the second line looks like a Z.

I have two WNW decals that have weight tables on them, and they read:

(Fokker D.VII)
Leergewicht - Tare
Nutzlast - Payload
zulassiges gesamtgewicht - Maximum Weight Allowed

and

(Albatros D.Va)
Leergewicht - Tare
Nutzlast - Payload
Gesammtgew (which doesn't Google Translate, but I think it should read Gesamtgewicht - Total Weight)

Does anyone with sharper eyes or more fluency in German than I do have an idea what the words in the photo might be?

Thanks!

Peter
