Thanks for all your kind words!
Another update - I`ve added the majority of the rigging. The exhaust required some work since it was wrong in shape. I`ve added some minor details near the engine. I think I`ll be finishing her soon - not much work left. I`m thinking about building Hansa Brandenburg W.29 - looks like a tough model though...

Hi Filip - I have just read through your thread for the first time. You have made a stunning job of this model all round. I've had the kit for many years and though yours is so inspiring I think it will remain so - unless of course a 1/32 version materialises.
It really does look a picture - lovely woodwork and attention to detail, a real credit to you.
Regards - Tug

Filip; If you are talking about the Eduard Hansa-Brandenburg W.29, you will find it an easier build than this one. Getting upper wing onto a biplane always adds an extra degree of difficulty. I found the W.29 to be a very straight forward build for a limited run kit. I have also built this kit. I think you have done a fine job.

Filip, you are doing an incredible on this one! This is, of course, my all-time favorite air plane. I scratched the prototype (747) in 1/32 awhile back. Your work in 1/48 is outstanding! Keep up the good work!

This is a great build, Filip, I particularly like your lozenge and the great contrast with the wooden finish - extremely well done. I will watch out for future posts! Regards, Marc

Thanks for your motivating comments!
The Albie is finished, I`ve scratch built the anemometer and carved the prop. Now I have to make some beaching trolleys and trestles for the base I`m planning. Here are some pics and thanks for watching!

Beautiful job Filip, a model to be proud of. The finish is great, especially the wood work and the weathering on the floats. Great details as well, I can't believe you scratch built the Anemometer, great work!
Cheers,

Truly remarkable build, Filip! One of the best W.4s I've ever seen. I especially like the radiator drain valves. Brilliant!
Cheers,
Bud

Now THAT'S pretty! Even if it is 1/16th scale (ha, ha).
What nice colors and the fuselage really makes it for me. And then there's the details...
Oh, man!
