Thanks all,
I remember Ole Man's build, haven't seen him around for a while......I'll look it up. Not much done today, I've been concentrating on putting together the perspex for an under-the-coffee-table display box!  8)

I did, however, print out a copy of a cropped version of one of TVAL's pics of their instrument panel, and white glued it to a piece of plastic card for use as the panel. It doesn't compete with a proper decal, but it's a lot better than a painted one!

There's certainly some drastic surgery going on with this one!

Thanks folks

A little more progress on the interior....

Ideally I would have entirely removed the area where the lower wing joins the fuselage, but with the surgery done in that area I think the fuselage sides would be too weak, so I've just thinned it down. This does mean that there is a step up, instead of down, from the observer's floor to the "fabric" under the pilot's cockpit, but I'll live with that.

I can now make a start on the fuselage cross members and some of the smaller detail items....

Fantastic work on what can best be described as the only 1/72 RE8 available. One day someone will make a decent one but you are doing a magnificent job on this old clunker.

Thanks all, much appreciated!

Nearly done on the interior now. I just have to finish off the observer's stool and then add that, and a couple of linkages to the control column and it can all be closed up.
Here's where it sits at the moment..

The Barracudacast Resin seat is truly incredible, along with the Eduard PE belts it makes a huge difference!

Thanks for looking in

Your cockpit is looking stunning. The seat and belt add a lot. The overall ook is perfect for the scale and could be mistaken for 1/48th or larger!
