Extreme close-up photography often shows blemishes but certainly not in this case. Your work is immaculate!

Cheers,

Chris

Was just going to say (as I saw Chris's comment) when I use macro mode on my camera for closeups I am tempted to start all over again, it really brings out the "ugly"! In your case Simon it goes to illustrate how clean and beautiful your work is. Great to see, and hoping for more!
Cheers,
Lance

Simon,

the valve springs are...

- selfmade (wow!)?

- the ones from Taurus?

- or what?

Please tell us!

Welcome to the forum, Simon. I'm looking forward to seeing all of your work if this is the standard of quality you put out. Like the others said, the engine is incredible in its realism, but the thing that really made me take notice was the weathering around the nails in the floorboards. Absolutely the most realistic I've seen. Can you share how you did that?

Lindsay, My English is not very well, but I'll try to describe my work.
1.At the beginning of the boards were painted the color of light sand.
2.Then use the airbrush stencil painted wood grain with  tan color.
3.Next a light wipe oil paints.
4.The weathering around the nails I made a thin brush (000) dark-brown oil paints.
5.In the end boards painted orange and yellow clear and pointed nails Metalic gunze

Simon

Well, when you put it like that, it sounds very easy! Almost makes me think I could do it.  ;)

And not to worry about the English. I'm a native English speaker and I still manage to make a mess of it! Besides, your English is better than my Polish (I'm making assumptions).

Thanks for the tutorial,

Lindsay
