WNW Bristol F2B Fighter
« on: February 02, 2016, 02:40:23 AM »
Here is my WNW Bristol F2B Fighter finished as No 1 squadron from Australia, the famous color pictures.  Slight mods to backdate the control column and instrument panel as the WNW cockpit is much closer to late war Bristols.  Plumbed and wired the engine, spark plug leads are made from wire taken from an old spark plug lead from my Taylorcraft.  They still smell like oil!  Haven't put on a serial number yet as Rowan has advertised decals for the middle East Bristols on his website, and so I've decided to wait rather than cobble numbers together.

Wow!! That is an amazing piece of modelling - the wires on the engine make it look real. If it were not for your kitchen in the background that could be taken for a full sized restored machine. Many congratulations on a real stunner.

Stephen.

Superb Bristol fighter model!

Great work on detailing your engine.   Are you going to tackle another WNW kit?

Regards

Dave

"tcraft",
Stephen has said it well, beautiful work! Your engine is superb and the detail work as well. The buckles on the leather straps of the Lewis Magazines are mind blowing :o.
My compliments on an outstanding Build of one of my favorite aircraft.
Cheers,
Lance

Thanks guys.  Yes. I posted my Roland last week or so. I just started the Fe2B over the last few weeks. Just got back into modeling this past year or so after a 6 or so year hiatus to restore my above mentioned Taylorcraft. However, I somehow continued to increase my stash even though I wasn't building!

You have done a superb job building this model, your attention to detail is excellent. The engine turned out beautiful as did the cockpit, an outstanding job on what I believe is the best kit Wingnuts have produced.

Now that's a beaut!  Love the color you got on that.  I am still trying to get CDL to look good and yours is a great example of the art.

Thanks for posting....Dan

Great Bristol F2B, this is probably my favorite scheme...or one of them and you did it justice!

Really beautiful. British twoseaters are not my favourite taste, but your Aussie Brisfit is simply lovely.

I like it a lot.

Awesome job. Your build has convinced me to pick up this kit on my next order to WnW. I really am impressed with your chosen scheme.
Cheers,
