1/72 Fokker Eindecker models available?....
« on: February 04, 2016, 06:13:04 AM »
I'm thinking of building a 1/72 Fokker Eindecker, & I'm seeing the various kits for sale. Revell, SMER, MAC, ICM, Eduard. I don't see any Eduard kits available now, but I do see the others I mentioned. At this time, I'm not really tied to a specific version (I - IV), & I'm more concerned with quality & scale integrity of the kit. I would appreciate any insight into those that I mentioned.

Thanks,
Steve

Eduard is the best one,
and there is also a skeleton version in photo etched metal.
For the Old Guys, we cannot forget the old cheap Revell, with its characteristic wing shape - a classic... If you have not built one until now, you should do... it is pure pleasure contained in a few pieces of plastic.

The new Airfix kit seems plagued by a strange nose area, but it is a good model anyway.

Some  ICM kits are still around and a balsa penguin from the fourties...

I could be very wrong here but, Didn't Smer box Eduard kits in 1/72nd for a while? Is the Smer kit their original mold? Just wondering.

Thanks for the replies! I'm in the US, & never think to check what's happening on eBay overseas.

Thanks again,
Steve
