Not to appear ignorant but is this a replacement fuselage for the WNW d.v albatross with the headrest built in?I am at work on my small phone so I can't tell what is different or special. No injector pin marks?

Has Karaya adjusted the lower forward fuselage panels?
The first series of the Albatros D.V (as in the Albatros D.III) has longitudinally arranged panels).
Wingnut Wings kit fuselage covers the later D.V and D.Va series.

You couldn't make the DVa (OAW) kit work for this conversion?  That's still in production.  I'm not sure what the nuances are of the OAW kit but they seem pretty close to me.  Seems if your tackling this conversion you could make the adjustments?  But I'm not sure.....

Providing you are capable of changing out the control column and all of the control mechanisms from a DVa to a DV in the interior, and have the ability to scratch build the actuator covers on the upper wing, then NO Problem. Still this seems to be a conversion aimed at letting the average modeler do von Althaus' DV. Lets face it, a more advanced modeler wouldn't need the conversion fuselage! The more I think about this one the more ODD it seems. A conversion kit for a one off DV that how many Modelers really want to do?

But you avoid a lot of hassles with this conversion and you get the decals
The subject is very nice and the conversion is rather cheap

Well if it was in 1/48 scale I would definitely buy one, I've been thinking about using an Eduard D.V and carving a wooden headrest that I can vacuform, but then would have to come up with some decals...
