I was thinking last night about how much a Nieuports GB would be wonderful. So, in solidarity with our French Allies, I think a French GB would be superbe!

Vive la France, Vive la Groupe Builde! (Don't bother to check the spelling-e...it's made up-e!!)

I do agree, the French do get short shrift here and most other places.

So far, all of my stalled builds are of French a/c, or those intended to wear French markings.  8)

That would be a great idea! I just have a Breguet 14 on my list!

The current GB ends at midnight tomorrow (Tuesday 17th Australian eastern daylight saving time), so I will make a decision on Wednesday as to to next GB.

Very good, Michael. It reminds me how in merrie olde Englande you occasionally come across pubs etc with names like Ye Olde Oak Tree. Do they really think you would just pass straight on by if it was called The Old Oak Tree?

On a more serious note, I agree that a French themed GB would be a fitting act on our part.

Best wishes
Nigel

I have a Dorand and a Caudron R11...I would certainly jump on that French GB-train

The French GB sounds like a good idea, I will give it plenty of thought, if it does eventuate it will be any WW1 machine in French colours.

Des.

I have a question, Des. In light of the current addition of armour to our forum, if our next GB becomes "any WW1 machine in French colours", would this include a French Renault FT-17 Light Tank? Or are we sticking to aircraft only?

Sorry, I don't mean to throw a wrench in the works, but I'm kinda itching to build a WW1 tank, and building it as part of the GB would be fun! :D

Great idea George, of course it will include any WW1 armour or artillery in French colours.

Tanks = targets.
