I have been itching to get started on this since i got it, so now that i have completed my fokker it's time to make a start.

i think i read somewhere that none of these planes were ever shot down, so my plan is to have it slightly worn and weathered.

i don't think i have the skill to do the green/mauve camouflage scheme by brush so i think i am gonna do the one with the two tone green finish.

so far i have got round to cleaning a few bits up and i hope to get some paint on over the weekend.

hany help and advice/guidence anyone cares to offer will be much appreciated as i expect i will need quite a bit  :)

my first question is would these planes have been spray painted or brush?

i decided to start with the pilots seat, while waiting for the oil paint to dry on the plywood panels. i heard a lot about the tight fit of parts on wnw kits and am now seeing it first hand with just about what seems like every part needing sanding down to fit.

cheers Andrew not a lot of progress to be honest, just one or two things done.

the oil paint i used for the wood grain is taking its time to dry out, still whats the hurry eh?  :)

not had a lot of time for the j1 lately, just a few bits and bobs done.

got both instrument panels finished and the prop.

also got the gunners seat made up and painted but got a bit carried away with the weathering and over done it , but i think i will just put that down to the  clumsey gunner  ;)

Michael,
    Very nice interior work and I think your Gunner's seat is great. Consider the Gunner probably moved around a lot (both looking and shooting) and I am a fan of heavy weathering also. Looking forward to following this one along.

just about got the insides finished, the pilots seat is dry fitted for the photos.

the seat belts are from hgw and were fun to put together  ::)

i just hope i can get both halves closed up ok!

as ever any advice or pointers will be much valued  :)
