A couple of projects I completed while away
« on: July 26, 2015, 09:55:59 PM »
All,

Some of you asked to see my recently completed work on the the old Airfix 1/24 kits very kindly given to me by a good friend.

first up - Hawker Hurricane mark 1 completed OOB:

Next is the Messerschmidt BF 109E with my first attempt at pushing the boundaries by detailing up the cockpit including knocking up seat harness; cutting out the molded flaps and posing these down; building up the open wheel wells; opening up gun muzzles and exhaust; reworking pilot figure so he is sitting out knocked up chair.   Completed in Romanian markings.

I hope you like.

Good to be back

Regards

Dave

Really nice, Dave.  You've done a beautiful job of both,
but I really like the 109...the Romanian markings are
well done and a nice change from the usual Luftwaffe
colours. :D

Cheers,
Ernie :)

Both very nicely done Dave, your paint work is exceptional. Your figures are exceptional as well, a "black art" to this Model Maker!
Well done.
Cheers,
Lance

Wonderful builds both Dave. The 109 looks particularly impressive and as Ernie has written it looks even better in Romanian markings. The figures are superb - just wish I could paint like that.

Stephen.

Dave,
Beautiful work on both! The 109 like others have said, offers a very nice change from the norm! The figures are also very well done!!

Exceptional work on both kits Dave but to me the 109 is a stand out. I really like the painting of the pilot sitting in the Hurricane, you did a superb job.
