French RGB color Chips for the 5 color scheme
« on: June 26, 2015, 05:42:37 AM »
Here in RGB form are 4 of the 5 colors used in the French 5 color scheme. The fifth color being black is not included. Both the color for the fabric and metal parts are. The information is from the Data File Br14 booklet with information supplied by Mr. Toelle the ace of aces concerning this subject.

The individual colors all came from Spad XIII aircraft but one which came from a Ni 28.  These are just one set of the colors in the article. picked special for the Spad XIII. From looking at the article and chart it shows many different formulas for the same color from one aircraft to the next. I just thought these chips would give a visual idea what the colors looked like.

The chips were prepared in Photoshop CC6.

thanks flypaper, havent seen you around since the aerodrome. what i find intriguing is that on 2 of the colors the tone from the fabric portion is darker and on two the portion from the metal is darker.
