Quick question for all you experts here:

The centre of the control "wheel" - WNW say just paint it black but I have seen builds here with a red (ish) portion rather like a WW2 fire button...??

Any advice on painting this bit would be appreciated.   :)

Some progress today.

Included some very basic control lines - I'm not that skilled yet to put turn buckles etc down to that detail.

OK, had a bash at the turned metal. Not too bad really. Will probably look great once it's been toned down with some weathering and had a matt coat.
