Frank Luke Model Cellar Bust
« on: March 22, 2015, 10:42:06 AM »
Here is the Frank Luke bust made by Model Cellar, a resin piece sculpted by Mike Good that goes well with the figures from the DML Dragon Knights of the Sky series.  It is cleanly molded in tan resin, the fit of the parts is great with very little cleanup needed and the crossed arms lock into position perfectly.  I thought the last arm was a little loose but with a little pressure it popped right into position into the recesses molded into the chest. And the pilot's wings, USA emblems and wrist watch are very finely molded. Here are a couple of photos, the first is posed in front of Blaine Pardoe's book Terror of the Autumn Skies.

Nice work on both of them!
I shall never forget my admiration for that German pilot, who single handed, fought seven of us for ten minutes. I saw him go into a fairly steep dive and so I continued to watch, and then saw the triplane hit the ground and disappear into a thousand fragments...James McCudden
