Sad to hear that the Avro 504 had engine problems and had to make a forced landing, thankfully the crew were uninjured and it appears the aircraft came through the ordeal relatively unhurt. Lets hope that they sort our the engine issues and have the plane up flying again soon.

Many many thanks - a fabulous scene, wonderful (and highly useful - well chosen details) pics and obviously a great experience. I guess on a day like this they probably have more hardware in the sky than the actual New Zealand Air Force?

Also, makes me wonder how many pilots they have available to fly them, ie. they must have an impressive number of guys 'rated' to handle these fragile machines.

Cheers, Mark

Thank you all for the feedback  :)  It is hard to describe the deep appreciation and wonderment I have for the work Peter Jackson and his team are achieving. For a WWI aviation enthusiast these airshows are the experience of a lifetime. I come home with a buzz that lasts for days. Then there are the lovely quiet open hangar days when I am just about the only member of the public there, pottering around, getting down underneath the planes . . . Peter Jackson is about the same age as me, so hopefully it won't end any time soon.

NZ is a fantastic place to take a holiday, really you should all visit!

James

A little OT here with a question.

Jamo posts dozens of beautifully photographed pictures on Photobucket. Photobucket went thru some site changes many months ago and did away with one being able to download an entire album (such as this one) with a single click, so one could save these images for later reference. I sent them an e-mail query and they stated that this function was no longer available.

I find now that I must download each photo separately and put them in a new folder. Time consuming and not always efficient.

Have I missed something on doing this an easier way? Anyone have any suggestions or shortcuts?

Ditto all the above thanks for your posting here and on Photobucket.  And Yes, will definitely make a trip your way in the Future  and it will coincide with this event.
