and lastly, note the Lewis at the Royal Armouries in Leeds with the wire frame outside the bag. Also this is Henry VIIIs show helmet, and emperor Maximillian's moustache helmet, made about 1540....

Forgot the maintenance hangar at Shuttleworth. Note the canvas lining covering the cowling frame on the Spitfire Vc, in Linen. Its authentic. The frame is not grey green, it has linen padding to stop cowling rattle.

Thanks again Dave for the additional photos, as Bo said, a treasure trove. Very interesting to see the wire around the outside of the spent shell collection bag, I wonder if this was the way they were all made.
