« on: May 20, 2012, 03:28:01 AM »
  Hello fella's,
With the resent interest in Vacuform kits for the OKGB and the Vacuform section here a couple of manufacturers you might find interesting.

LINK: Don's Model Works    http://www.donsmodelworks.com/index.htm
Check out the Wing's 48 Salmson A-2, great kit and awesome deals.

LINK: Sierra Scale    http://sierrascale.com/index.htm

LINK: Lone Star   http://www.lonestarmodels.com/completekits.html
Former vacuform kit manufacturer now mainly resin, but still has excellent detail set in multiple scales great for Vac builder and modelers in general.

LINK: Old Kits   http://www.oldmodelkits.com/blog/plasitc-model-kits-how-tos/how-to-build-vacuform-model-kits/
Great how to article for the newbie.
 Main page        http://www.oldmodelkits.com/
Another source for old kits of all types from injection to vacuform. Warning the prises are a little high.

Quite a few interesting type from all eras . Notice the 1/24 scale WW I offerings.

  Steve,
Same her my friend. But I afraid I'd have to toss a coin to decide whether to go with the Albie or the SE-5a. I've seen the kit in the fresh so to speak but the illustration is a SE-5. Even better as Ilike the SE-5 far more than the SE-5a. Glad you liked the links.

  Dean,
You're most welcome my friend. I built a number of Sierra's 1/72 scale Bombers before pretty much giving up on the scale. All of them were outstanding kits and very much worth the effort. Rareplanes kit of the Gotha G.IV/ V is another excellent kit, sadly long out of production but they seem to show up on E-bay regularly . She'd be an excellent addition to any WW I Bomber collection too. I'll be looking forward to seeing a Vacuform project from you in the future my friend.

Cool, keep my eyes peeled for that Gotha by them on Ebay.. It will probably be a while before I attempt a Vacuform kit.. but I have begun one of those Roden gothas I own.. so you never know when i might "go for it"... ;)

Thanks Gregory ~ as always..,
