WNW LVG C.VI

I finished this back in 2009 but it hasn't been posted here before. Crew figures are modified 1/35th Tamiya, I carved the prop from laminations of basswood, the woodgrain effect was done with colored pencil smoothed and blended with paint thinner.

That's one gorgeous LVG! The figures are very well done and add a nice touch.
Cheers,

That's spectacular! The wood work is top notch as is the prop; overall just a beautiful job.

Great work on those figures! As an amateur figure painter I certainly admire what you have accomplished. The LVG is Terrific! Love your overall work!

Excellent model- the propeller is really good but the wood effect on the fuselage is really in a class of its own.

Beautiful looking LVG, the wood effect is superb and the propeller is excellent, adding figures always adds that finishing touch, well done.

Lovely work, padunham! Which Tamiya figures did you convert to make the excellent crew figures?
Best wishes

Thanks for the kind words Nigel, The Tamiya figures aren't from a specific set. They are cobbled together from several sets and leftover bits that accumulated over the years. The flight suits and headgear are made of putty. The limbs and hands were chopped up and then pinned together with copper wire to get them to conform to the cockpits.
