New Eduard SSW DIII
« on: August 02, 2014, 07:40:43 AM »
Looks like the Eduard SSW DIII won't be appearing until November this year.  I was kind of looking forward to a newer re-do since I built one of the older ones.  This is from their newsletter.

Bummer, Gabe!  I guess I'll have to spend the money I had set aside for it on another WNW kit.  Copper State is planning on releasing their F.K.8 around that time (Telford!), so we're in for a treat at the end of the year.
Cheers,
Bud

Yeah Bud, I was really hoping to get one a bit sooner too.  The old kit was a pretty tough build to put it mildly!  Perhaps by the end of the year we may have more goodies to look forward to.  A Caudron or a Berg D.I would be at the top of my wish list.  For some reason I've always liked the KUK plug uglies.

I saw the pre-release sprues for the new SSW D.III
Today at the IPMS Nats show. I was told that will still need a little fine-tuning, however, they looked pretty darn fine to me.
Nothing at all like the original release.  :)

Des, if it's anything like their last Great War release, the Oeffag D.III, it'll be stunning.  Well worth the wait.
Cheers,
Bud

Oh Eduard, how could you when I'd got my mind fixed on moving from 1/48 to 1/32?

Thanks for the photos, Terri.

Best wishes
