Hi Dan:

I like the contrast between the wood and the linen of the wings and control surfaces.  You have captured that look quite well.  I am looking forward to seeing you continue to post update and the progress.

Best

I'm not sure how, but I seem to have overlooked this build up to now.
She's looking VERY nice Dan, wonderful woodwork! Going back a stage or two, I find it helps with the underside "transparency" to give it a coat of white before marking the interior structure and crosses etc. - it helps the contrast.

Thanks Martin, Mark, Bob, Ian and Terri ("THE" Terri? :D)

I am very pleased how it's going so far...the wood looks much better than I expected!

And thanks for the tip, Ian.  I might still play around a bit with the transparency issues.  I can't decide if I like darker showing through, or taping off the tops of ribs and shading with pastels...hmmmm.  I did notice that my painting was a bit easier the second time since I already had my aborted first attempt over the primer.

We'll see how things go.  More work on it tonight!

Thanks again everyone.
Dan

Just a test fit of the upper wing and I painted the metal parts and cockpit coaming and added the radiators.  Next will be the fuselage and rudder markings!

Looking good...Dan  ;D

Looks great! That Pylon sure does make mounting the wing easy!

Tiny Update...Finally...

Here is a shot of the markings painted onto the rudder and fuselage based on prototype photos.  They are pretty small and also in different locations (slightly) than the production ships.

I'm just glad to finally get to do some modeling.   ;D

Thanks for looking.....Dan

Really well done, Dan.  I am completely taken with your fuselage "wood".
I wonder if you could give a bit of an explanation of your woodish technique?
Amazing stuff. :D  Looking forward to the next updates.

Cheers,
Ernie :)
