The mud spatter was just plain old thinned Tamiya Red Brown on the
end of an artists brush with stiff bristles, and then held at a respectable
distance from the model. A finger drawn across the bristles, sprays,
very lightly, a few spots of paint onto the parts to be 'dirtied'. Then you
wash your finger. . . . . .

Here is a nights work on the Holts' Flare . . Still to do the port one and
add all the wires.

All the very best

Dave

Is that kit supplied Dave or did you scratch it? Either way it's mighty fine and excellently done :)

TWO PART KIT SUPPLED, BUT WITH HE ADDITION OF WIRES TO
THE TEMINAL BLOCK,MID WAY UP THE POST. THE LAMP IS AS IS.
tH EBUNGEE AT THE FRONT AND THE EYELETS ARE EXTRA.
tHE PRINCIPAL WAS THAT IT WAS HINGED AT THE WING, AND
THE BUNGEE KEPT IT IN THE VERTICAL POSITION. IF THE PILOT
HAPPENED TOP ACCIDENTALLY TOUCH THE GROUND WITH THE
WING, THE POST WOULD FOLD BACK. i STILL HAVE TO ADD THE WIRE
THAT GOES ALONG FROM THE TERMINAL BLOCK TO THE FUSELAGE.
BUT MOSTLY ITS 50% SCRATCH.

Awesome and thanks for the info on how it worked, etc.

On another note - I'm not having a go in any way - is there a reason you write in capitals? It usually denotes 'shouting' on a forum. With your amazing work you don't need to shout ;) ;D

Wiring done on the port flare, and the
Starboard one ready to be done. Also
the wires and clips from the pilots office
to the flares. Progressing slowly.

I have a very understanding employer. I do CAD
design all day, so the odd few minutes here and
there is accepted practice. The real model stuff
happens at home. Therapy :-)

Many thanks Sir. Glad that you like it.
I take a lot of time, but, hopefully, the
results show.

What can I get up to at the weekend?  :-)

Kindest Regards from New Zealand

The fruits of a wet weekend. A rather boring 100lb
bomb, carrier and operaing cable. The photos are
not the greatest, however it does show a bit more
progress.
