Dave,  thanks for the advice on the tyres.  There seems to be a lot of variation in the colours, even looking at B&W photo's- something to keep an eye on as I do more WWI subjects.

Your kit's turned out beautifully, mate.  I've always liked the RE 8 and you've really captured the look.

Cheers.

Dal.

Thanks Dal,
Almost at the end . . . Yeah, the colours and shades that you see on
b/w pics vary a lot, but its all guesswork anyway. I think that you just do what
you think is nearly or 'almost' nearly right, and GO FOR IT.

Have a good one mate, and thanks for replying.

Ailerons on and rigging almost done . . .
What a mission, but what else can you
do on a wet weekend in paradise?

All the best

Thanks Gregory,
No. Just the beastie itself with its' cowlings
lying on the ground. Got some of that
'Static Grass' to try the effect. Fingers crossed.

I don't blame you for not wanting to hide the donk, Dave, it would be a shame to do so.

That's the only problem with them.
Bits drop off . . . . Sort of like life in general really.

Dave,
I don't get in here as often as I'd like, and then, only have time for a quick scan over some of the threads, but your RE.8 build is one I've been watching.

Absolutely gorgeous model!  When I get around to building my WNW RE.8, your posts will be of tremendous value as references.

Cheers,
Eric
