Thank You Des ,

I think I put enough into the interior. Here`s more photo`s of what I did . In the rear cockpit I made the container that the copper wire went into . I forgot to take a photo of it but I did make one in a smaller scale which will go into the Blue Max LVG whenever I get to build that kit :). I added the compass and some wiring in the rear with the control cables . Only question I have is can I close the top over the cockpit with out installing the gun ?

More photo`s :

Well that`s all for now :).

Thanks ,Rick ,Martin ,Patrick  and Ernie.

I started work on the engine . There`s quite a few things I will add . Thanks to Richard from Aviattic I have the primer cups which look very nice . I will be adding sparkplugs from TaurusModels and some plumbing from bass tubes ,plastic rods and lead fly fishing wire . So far I have completed the springs which are made from lead wire . Hope to have photo`s soon ! Camera batteries died!

Hi Willi:
If you mean the forward pointing gun, yes you can.  Just don't forget to put it in before attaching the top wing.  Rigging the cabane struts can be real finicky.  If you rig the center mount and then as you are attaching it to the cabane struts run the rigging material through the pre-placed eyelets, it will save a  lot of headache.  So you need to hold the center section with one hand and run the rigging through the eyelets with the other.  It can be done.  You just need extra long runs of material to do it.
Hope this helps.
The interior is really looking awesome.  There is a lot you can see when it is buttoned up.  Sadly not much of the fuel tank is visible.

Best

Mark

Here`s this week work on the engine . There`s lots to add and most of the parts are fiddly ! just with the springs and posts on top of the engine there`s 96 pieces !  I`m still working on how to fix the rockers so those parts are still not going to be added  yet .

This is the part I made for the rear cockpit which the antenne wire from the wheel goes into .This on is in 1/48th scale .

Here`s the Taurus spark plugs painted and the primer cups I will add to the engine .

That`s it for today ,hope you all have a great day ,

Thanks Dric,

Still lots to do with the engine !Thanks to Mietek I have some of the PE parts from Wojtec Fajga. I wouldlike to know if anyone here has experience on how to make PE parts . I would like to reproduce some parts like the rocker arms for the engine . They would be useful for the new Roland DVIa.

I have the fuselage closed up and have been working on the wood work on the bottom . I forgot to mention this will be the Polish aircraft that was flown by Wladyslaw Dittmer.

I should have some photo`s posted by next week once the oils have dried .

                        Thanks ,Willi

I've done it, see here: http://forum.ww1aircraftmodels.com/index.php?topic=328.1005

I didn't photograph the process step by step, but I did provide a kind of overview.

The process involves some fairly nasty chemicals, you don't want kids or pets or food around. It also involves a fair bit of trial and error. But I found it to be rather fun and rewarding and I got some nice parts out of it.

Thanks Bo ,

Sounds complicated but maybe I`ll U-Tube it . I probably wont use the PE parts on this build but the next LVG will be done with the PE parts I hopefully make  ::) . Where did you get the etching kit ?
