1/72 Fokker Dr I "Strip Down" (Eduard)
« on: December 03, 2013, 07:34:58 AM »
This is my latest finished project.
A more photo etched bending and handling challenge instead classic model build.
The seat cushion was made from tamiya epoxy putty with buttons engraved with the punch & die tool.
The gun barrels was replaced with hypodermic needles and the control cables inside the fuselage was made from Monofil polyamid thread.
Painted with model master enamels, Vallejo and Tamiya acrylics and the wood grain was made with artists oil paints.

Thanks for watching.

All comments are welcome.

This is so very impressive Nikos. Anything like this in 1/72 scale would be quite beyond me. Well done!

Best wishes
Nigel

Absolutely incredible workmanship Nikos, to achieve such fine detail in 1:72 scale is way beyond my capabilities, congratulations on completing a brilliant and very stunning model.

Very impressive. How did you put together the PE elements? Soldering, CA glue? Or just magic? :o

Good grief!  That is insane! :o  I really have to congratulate you on your
superb model, Nikos.  It is stunning to remember it is in the teeny scale
as well.  Amazing job, my friend.

Cheers,
Ernie :)

Great work Nikos, can't say how much I respect these modelers in that tiny scale. Many congratulations.

Kind regards
