Your rigging turned out beautiful, it is a real credit to you and your beaching gear looks really good, it will compliment the model perfectly.

I really like the beaching gear as well, PrzemoL.  I think your idea for the base
will suit the FF49 very well.  Good work!

Cheers,
Ernie :)

I think you are right Przemo - the seaplane should be presented with at least some carts. I feel like building one of the seaplanes I have in my stash... thanks to your thread mate!
Best regards
Filip

Thank you, again.

Ssasho0, the landing gear is from Choroszy. They have a couple of FF33 kits and are eager to sell kit parts separately. So I bought a set from FF33 and it fits FF49 quite well.

And the best news for today is, that I finally finished this build. My absolute record - over three months spent with one model on my bench! It was not a piece of cake, not just that it was a resin kit. But the more glad I am now, to have it completed at last! One shot here, more in Completed Models section.

Congratulations on the absolutely stunning build Prez, I must add that the base really adds to the model!
You mentioned Choroszy, is this the "Choroszy model Bud" resin kitmakers? I'm considering one of their 1:72 taubes and what is your opinion on their kits? Should I pull the trigger or better save my money as they are quite costly? I think a 1:72 taube with the shipping will cost me a little less than a WnW kit :-/

best regards,
Sasho

Yes, I mean Choroszy Modelbud. I would say Choroszy kits are average quality resin kits. Ardpol and Karaya are much better. I have build two Macchi M.5s, Lohner S.30, Sopwith Dolphin and used the upper wing from Aviatik D.II from Choroszy line. You may check them in my website:

By no means are they a shake-and-bake business. But with a bit of resolution and good will they can be built into very decent replicas. I do not know their Taube, however I am afraid that resin version of those famous feather-like wings with ribs very much visible, maybe on the lower side - it is hard to keep them uniform, nicely spaced and straight. I will say like this: if you really want to build a Taube then, in the view of lacking injection moulded kits - go and get it.

Thanks again Prez, I will check your site and I'm sure I will find a lot of interesting things there. I think I will wait to see if in WnW will not surpirse us with an early war aircraft this year - a taube for example :) and if not I will get a 1:72 version from them
best regards,
Sasho
