The Great War Interviews on iplayer
« on: March 19, 2014, 06:18:53 PM »
Several interviews were conducted by the BBC in the 1960's with surviving participants of the Great War.

Some of them have been released for the very first time and are on BBC iplayer.

Amongst them is a forty minute interview with Cecil Lewis of 56 Squadron and author of the aviation first World War classic- " Sagittarius Rising".

Thanks for this Dave. There were a few minutes of the Cecil Lewis interview shown the other day. I hadn't realised that the full thing runs to forty minutes.

Best wishes
Nigel

I watched the TV version of this the other day, very interesting.  I was quite surprised that these archives had not been aired on TV before.  Fascinating first hand stuff.
