Hello Dr. Dave:

Outstanding work on the Spit!  Natural metal finishes are always a bear to make look good and yours looks the real deal.  No filler!!  It is amazing what is being produced in plastic these days.  The Corsair beckons at this time, but; with my stash being what it is it will have to wait.

Thanks for sharing

Best

Well, Dr. Dave, if it makes you feel any better, I also succumbed to the lure of the Mk.IX Spitfire myself.

It was my first foray back into the world of 1/32 scale aircraft after a near 30 year hiatus, and prompted me to stick with 1/32. In all honesty, had I not built that Spit, I would never had considered even looking at Wingnut Wings. Now that my fingers have regained most of their dexterity, I'll be back to working on my Albatros.

And, for the record, I decided to add an IFF antenna to mine, so technically it DOES have rigging!  ;D

She's a beauty Dr. Dave and it makes me want to pull mine out of the stash.

Cheers,

Chris
You can have it good; You can have it fast; you can have it cheap. Pick any two, but all three are impossible.

both spits are looking great! I'm working on the new 1:48 Spit from Eduard at the moment - I need to build something not WWI from time to time :)
Best regards,
Sasho
