Does anyone have this kit and would like to comment further? Does it come with decals?

Cheers

Thanks, Jamo for the info. I have talked to the manufacturer, the kit is supposed to include the decals, though they are produced somewhere else and were not available for the photos. The options should include Polish and Swedish version. I have ordered this kit and will report on it when I lay my hands on it.

Years ago I bought a FF49c resin kit ,packed in a plastic bag,in one of the fuselage halves was engraved TOP GUN.If this is indeed the same kit ,I must say it's not an easy one. The wings feature a very rough texture, which has to be sanded down ,otherwise you
'll get issues applying the loz-decals.The floats needed reshaping, too.

  James,
Thanks again my old friend for  sharing this with us. Interesting type too but I wish it was available in one of the larger scale. I'd love to have a FF49 in the flight line.

@ Malaula,
Beautiful work my friend. Very impressive diorama too, love your crew figures.

Highest Regards,

I have just got the kit. Malaula, you must have had a copy from old moulds. I have heard they were renewed. The new model is top class resin kit, immaculate surfaces, fine rib and linen structure, no visible air bubbles, finely detailed engine, not bad cockpit interior for this scale (two seats, steering column, floor with integrated rudder pedals and fuel tank, gun ring for the observer and the Parabellum, the interior structure is moulded on the fuselage sides). You also get two types of tailplane and fin, two propellers (with spinner and without) and two sets of decals - Swedish and Polish ones. There is some flash around but it is easily removable thin resin film - usual business.
I have talked to the producer, he informed me that the model was made basing on Swedish scale drawings. The instruction leaflet includes a copy of them - needless to say the model fits them nicely, with the exception of the floats side profile and the wing cut-outs at the fuselage. The flats will need to be reshaped and the cut-outs - enlarged.
My "first-view" opinion is that I have spent well my money. I hope to show you the build log as soon as I get the WNW Tripehound completed.

Looks good, how does it compare to Omega's offering?

Przemol,I guess you're right.Judging from the fotos the parts look much better than in my kit, which as I said came cramped in one plastic bag, without struts but with two optional fins and rudders, too. As far as I remember I bought it in 2000,maybe 1999.
I'm looking forward to what you make of it!   cheers  Mathias

It seems like an very well mouded 1/72 model.

They are never enough!

I have to admit, that my first-sight opinion on this kit was far too otimistic. I have just started my build log at:

where more details can be found.
