Hi friends,
thank you all for your interest. Tonight some more pics from my progress. The lower wings are on and I started the rigging. Those eyelets and buckles are really small but it works better than I inspected. I tried to replace parts of the Spandau 08/15 machine guns with Master barrels (some parts to fiddly). Next was installing the UC with rigging. Next big step will be the upper wing, I'm actually not sure how to manage this ...
Thanks for looking.
greetings ro

all in all a damn good first ww1 subject. as to how to do the wing i suggest to glue the "v" struts to the top wing and let the glue dry solid. i usually use a couple paint jars to support the wing on the ends. this way the struts will hang perpendicular to the wing. if you do it upside down it can be done but the struts want to lay over as the glue drys. then i would glue the cabane array struts to the fuselage try to angle them to the approximate angle they should end up. while this glue is still pliable mount the top wing and glue them to the bottom wing. this way you can adjust the cabanes into place and the solid glued "v" struts will hold the weight of the wing up. i hope i am explaining the procedure clearly. if you jave more questions dont hesitate to ask. we all do things our own way but i think most will agree that the above procedure would be one way to do it without too much trouble.

Absolutely marvellous! You are a very talented modeller indeed. I like the woodgrain effect very very much! I can only hope to get near to the effect you`ve acheived here when the time comes for my albatroses (DIII, DR.I, DV).
Best regards
Filip

Hi guys,
thank you all for your comments. Today I finished rigging on the upper wing, it's now ready for mounting.

@Albatros1234: Thank you very much for explaining on how to install the upper wing, it's well explained and I'm going to try this.  :)

Hi to all,
some more progress for now. Thanks to the advice from Albatros1234 I managed to install the upper wing. Today I worked on the rigging and finished one side. It worked okay but was very fiddly.
Thanks for looking.
greetings ro

Nice to see the top wing on. The rigging is looking very good, it can be fiddly but it makes the model, well done so far.

Great progress, Robert! Fiddily or not, you are doing wonderfully with
the rigging.  Looks like the upper wing troubles were no trouble at all.
Keep up the good work!

Cheers,
Ernie :)
