Ernie,
The soldering work is amazing, I've often been tempted but it's appeared intimidating. I want to incorporate soldering into my bag of modelling tricks; what size iron do you have? Must be pretty small to handle the likes of your pulsometer, neat!
Cheers,
Lance

Thanks, Lance. :)  Honestly, I think my efforts are beginners luck.  One thing I
did learn is it's not so much the size of the iron (there must be a joke here somewhere ;) ;D ),
it's more the amount of solder and flux you use.  For the pulseometer and seat the pieces of
solder I used was little bits about a millimetre in size...the flux (which dictates where the solder
will flow), I use little tiny dabs with the end of a toothpick.  Stick a little piece of solder on top of
the flux, apply some heat with the iron, and bingo.  Sometimes it even works! ;D
As for the soldering gun I use, it's just a Home Hardware basic kit...goes for about $30.00.
Hey, if I can do it, anyone can! :)

Cheers,
Ernie :)

Thanks for your help, Quentin.  I will probably leave my sidewalls alone...I don't
want to wreck it.  PM on it's way, my friend.

Cheers,
Ernie :)

Nice start Ernie, I like the Nieuports so I'm looking forward to seeing how this one turns out.

Interesting to see your soldering too, this is something I've been thinking about doing myself.

Thanks so much Tom and Dave.  Things are moving along slowly, but
am feeling good about the build.  I'll pop in in a few days with some
more photos.  Thanks for your interest.

Thank you, Prze!  Coming from someone with your talents, that is
heart-warming indeed.  I'd be quite happy to be able to emulate
a few of your model-making techniques.

Cheers,
Ernie :)
