Thanks Jacek.  That looks like what I am considering.  I see that you included slots for the landing gear struts as well. Good choice!

Bob

I want to paint it in Polish service, now I have to wait, because was discovered in Polish Aviation Museum in Krakow, new picture of this plane. On the left side wasn't painted this lady, there is was painted dragon, so I will wait until  will producednew decals.

Hey Quentin.  You're coming along well with the Nieuport.  The PE bits can
really help dress up a basic kit.  What did you use for the seat cushion?  I like
the stitching around it.  Keep up the good work.  I look forward to more updates.

Cheers,
Ernie :)

I'm looking forward to seeing the work on the figure of
Georges Guynemer.  I've never painted any figures and
am becoming much more interested in doing so.  I hope you
don't mind me looking over your shoulder, trying to learn something. ;D

Cheers,
Ernie :)

So i started my first weathering work, something quite new for me (i did it on a B1 Bis French tank, but very different)...
i started to shade with diluted acrylic brown and enamel dark grey, next i put a "Argenture" coat with dry brush, and after light grey on ribs.
it need to be smooth, brush are too visible.

i did it also on wheels

let me know what you think about these first stape!

(Argenture is a paint with aluminium powder, use to restaur antics furnitures)

cockpit is not complet but working on. Roden kit not so easy to build with very poor indications where to put parts, and cockpit without is own case, so not very stable until cement two parts of fuselage.(not yet!)

PE give good impress.

Now body is closed.

hoods are not very precise assembly...

engine hoods need to be thinner

and down some putty is necessary

  Quentin,
Now that's some Outstanding project my friend. I've the same kit in the stash. I'd planned on building the Polish marked version, but haven't come anywhere close to starting yet. Maybe someday though.

Your model is coming along nicely, Quentin. Not the easiest, but you are doing
well.  I really like the seatbelts.  Thanks for the update.  Looking forward to the
next.

Ernie :)
