I have seen where Des is heading....

No, as far as I know Des is not leaving.... however, I am sure that you all have seen the exceptional lath and tooling that he is doing on his latest aircraft. I think it is only a small step.... well, perhaps a couple small steps.... from that marvel to something like this....  :o

Now how would something like that look on your latest radial model? And as it seems to run off of compressed air there is no castor oil down the fuselage....  ;)

That's a real treat to watch. I can't imagine the skill involved in making all of the parts that went into that engine.

Cheers,

you mean its way beyond your equipments capabilities des. it is amazing but i'm sure the guy manufactured the parts to a set of plans in miniature. he is possibly an engineer or maybe an aircraft mechanic whos hobby is such. all i'm saying is given time/plans and proper equipment many of us tinkerers could achieve similar. i'm wondering is it gas(petrol) powered or is that white hose a pneumatic line to drive the cylinders?
