I think I should show my current project.  After noticing my cabinet was filling with builds all bearing Xs I decided I better build something with O's on so having seen  a few Pup builds and taking inspiration from Des's build I sallied forth.

Basic mods include adding a tiny amount of extra detail in the cockpit area. opening up the ammo can chute top, the fuel and oil filler apertures and picking out details here and there. I added ferrules from brass tube for the cable exit points in the fuselage, adding the lower ones without ref from pics of a Tripe I have. Aerlerons and tail skid have been pinned for strength and I detailed the machine gun with brass tube for a barrel, opened up the cooling jacket etc. Cowl slots were thinned for a better scale appearance. But theres still much to do.

Off to a brilliant start on this one, Keith.  Well on your way to having another magnificent O in your collection.  My display cases are just the opposite.  More along the lines of the ratio on the Western Front.

Michael, No I bought it from Hannants here in the UK, I know its a bit dearer to do so but a two day wait and no hassles with Parcelforce (UK) and extra long waits make it easier and more desirable.   It took two months to get my Rumpler from WNW direct and over 3 months to get my SE5a and LVG both times it was in no way WNW's fault, they were most helpful in assisting me chase down my parcels.

This will be a build to watch. Very nice wheels, prop, cockpit combing . . . and the list just goes on and on.

Really nice start Keith,

I too have had no end of trouble with Parcel Force when I've ordered from Wingnut Wings, as you say not WNW fault and their customer service is second to none.

I'm looking forward to seeing more updates.

My deliveries from WNW to the UK have usually been around 2/3 weeks from ordering, with no issues apart from paying Parcelforce's release fee :(  I don't mind the VAT, but not the fee.

Keith, I priced up the option of getting a kit from Hannants and paying their mark up vs the WNW price plus fees, converted back into UK£, and it was only about £5 more to have the convenience of buying in the UK.

Have you any more in the stash?

i was thinking about ordering direct from wnw but not so sure now. i thought hannants were a bit dear! >:(

Wonderful start Keith. Love the leather work on the cockpit combing. Combing, is that the correct term? The stitching looks very good.
