a light coat of Gris de Payne on uniform. brown on gaiters, shoes and leather belt.





a point of white to start eyes painting

Hello gentlemen,

not very present on the forum now, sorry for, quite busy on others models for shows.
just a progress on the figure.
I painted again uniform with a mixt of Humbrol blue 104 and Revell grey 76, very light coat.





pictures are too blue, but i'll post better. turnbuckles are on the workpad!

perhaps (it's logical) you believe first coat is not necessary, loocking the new step with matt enamel paint. but It's just provide a little shadow of dark blue, loocking invisible, but in fact giving the deep of the texture. next step will be on the face painting.

(i'm working on a dio of BF 109 G6 with a Mercedes 500 K cabriolet, with 7 figures, a big deal! join you some days!)

this week-end i painted many figures for others building, so i progressed on Charles Guyenemer
and shadow of pleats with a dark blue acrylic. also use brown for bealts and shoes, added wood tint "palissandre".
also painted decorations with pearl gold.
now i have to finish head.







I hope to restart airplane building in fews weeks!

That's coming together nicely, Francois.  I like the gold you used for the rank chevrons- it's not too metallic and looks like it's woven, not a metal badge.  Gold lace can be difficult to get right, too often it looks too metallic.
