Thanks for all the great comments , I am glad everyone likes this process . It take some practice to get it right .

I finally got the HGW seatbelts installed into the cockpit . I have started the process of closing up the Fuselage :).

More to come soon ,

Willi

How does it come that those sidepanels seem to be of some kind of orange/golden colour? Is this a reflection from the wooden floor?

Thanks guy`s

  @ Stefan,

I am sure it is the dinning room lights playing tricks ! It is still silver foil . The pit went together very well even with the bare metal foil on the interior side walls .! Dry fitting is still important . I did have to sand off the two bumps by the wing supports on the back end of the cockpit .

I have a real liking for the Eindeckers, and Willi, yours is amazing!  I am
just tickled to have come across your build.  Hopefully, I will pick up
some tips from your beautiful work.  Thanks for sharing with us.

Thanks Ernie,

It`s been a while since I have done anything on the Fokker .I`m using Tamyia x-22 for my A/C. I did a 50/50 mix of white and German gray as a base coat .hen I taped up the wings and fuselage which was then sprayed with a coat of black over the tape . the area between the tape got a coat of German gray. This as far as I got today.

Thanks ,

    Willi

Looks like a good controlled base coat for the overlay of linen.

Hello Willi:

The metal work really looks the business.  The engine is outstanding and will surely enhance the front end of the model.  It is really coming along nicely.  I have this kit, but am a bit timid to try it at this time.  The burled metal is holding me back, so I am looking at yours and Dirks builds for tips.  Thanks for sharing, it really looks great.

Best

Willi, the cockpit is really looking the buisness!  The woodgrain is
completely believeable.
About the bare metal foil...which did you use for the cowling and
cockpit?  Was it the straight aluminum version or another? Thanks
for the help.

Cheers,
Ernie

Willi,
How did you add the pattern/burls to the bare metal foil? Also, can you confirm which Taurus Engine Kit you used? Coming along beautifully BTW.
Cheers,
Lance

Hi Lance ,

I used a demel tool with a tooth pick and a small 1/16th inch disk glued to the end . I used kit #D3208.

  Thanks ,

         Willi

Can you please explain this in a bit more detail?  Did you use the disk to buff up a spot on the dull foil?  Was the foil in place when you did this or was it still on backing paper?  The marks look very convincing compared to the photos, and built up models I have seen.  Were these marks just machining marks on metal, or was there another purpose?  Great looking build so far.
