As a starting point, try the websites of TVAL and The Memorial Flight.

   Clara,
Hello and welcome aboard my friend, glad to have you with us. On the subject of cockpit images please take a look here.
http://memorial.flight.free.fr/indexuk.html

Although this site doesn't include your full wish list it does include the SPAD XIII,Sopwith 11/2 Strutter,Fok.D.VII, SE.5a,and the Dr.I . Let me know if you need any cockpit drawing and G.A drawings.
Highest Regards,

I'm actually referring to a cockpit illustration right now, of the Albatros D.III (Roden 1/32), in the Osprey 'Duel' series, this one being Jon Guttman on the D.III vs. SPAD VII. The Duel books are nicely done and cockpit illustrations are a basic feature, so I guess I'd recommend them for your purposes. Several items from your list are already covered in various volumes.
I just didn't happen to have a relevant Datafile - they include cockpit pictures of course.

Hello and welcome

Another suggestion for cockpit image sources is to do a Google images search using the keywords " DH2 cockpit" or "Sopwith Camel cockpit" etc. You may be amazed at what is freely available via Google.

Also go to the Wingnut Wings website at http://wingnutwings.com/ww/modelkitsets and click on where it says 'click here for full details' for each aircraft. This gives you a page on each kit and the full colour instructions for each kit are linked and freely downloadable. Many of the instruction booklets contain very useful cockpit photos.

kind regards

Hello!!

Thank you all for your kind help, I'm already getting great results on my research thanks to the helpful links & tips you've gave me. I am actually developing a flight simulator from World War I, so I will let you know about the whole process. I'm glad I found this forum.

See you around  ;D

Cheers

try here too.http://flyingmachines.ru/Site2/Indexes/Crafts1.htm its a site in russian but you can read the names of the planes. clicking on one brings you to a list of links for each type many times you get cockpit photos and or blueprint type drawings. also when you do a web search do it on the "images" instead of sites and you often get good links. just poke around research takes time. i spend 1-4 hours a day on the internet on the forums and searching ref materials. it starts to collect after a while.

Hi Clara, nice to meet you.

It's not a XIII, but I posted elsewhere earlier on an app by the American Air Force Museum that has hi res images of different cockpits. This is for a VII:

Maybe that will help some.

I worked for several years on a all volunteer flight sim.  I did 2D WW1, WW2 and Korean war stuff, LOTS of it.  I get tired just thinking about how much work I did and how much work you must be facing.

The sim just never got off the ground :(  I wish you better luck Amelia.  :)
