Welcome Andi!  I'm impressed with your efforts using eyelets and tissue paper.  Such creativity and experimentation will stand you in good stead with WWI modeling, and should help you lick any modeling problems that you may encounter.  You have created a nice selection of connectors that will likely prove useful.  They look great! ;D

I built the SH Morane last year, and it's a good basic kit.  Just be sure to follow the build logs for the usual fit issues and other problems, none of which are overly worrisome.  The rigging of a monoplane can be a bit challenging, particularly with the resin pullies and tiny PE brackets for the cabane posts, but if you take your time you should be fine.  If I could do it, you surely can.  My IRAS Morane is somewhere over in Completed Models, if you want to take a look.  Unfortunately, no build log. :-[   Have fun with it!

Regards,

Bob

Hi Andi;

Welcome to the forum, you say you are having trouble getting brass tubing, I see you are from the UK, you could try Historex Agents and look under Griffon Models, they do a range of tubing sizes.

Pete .............

Thanks for taking the time out to point me in the right direction - 'preciate it.
I've ordered a pack of 0.3, 0.4, and 0.5mm so there'll be no excuse now then! It all adds up to a little more commitment doesn't it?
Ta' again - you'll be amongst the first to know when I make a start on something or other.

There is also Albion Alloys in the UK, http://www.albionalloys.co.uk/
