Unfortunately, I never got to meet Michael in person, but a few years ago I had a very nice email exchange with Michael over a long period of time about this and that - mainly model building, but also many other, more profound topics.
I'll always remember his sense of humor, his intelligence, his wide range of knowledge, and his friendly nature.
It was just fun "to talk" with him.
