Gotha G.v, 1/48......
« on: May 06, 2025, 05:57:06 AM »
I've been planning a mega-build of the Aurora G.V for years.
I found two kits, an early and late issue, sourced decals, (2 Albatros D.V sheets will do it), invested in the Datafiles and back issues of magazines.
All this is right up my ally as far as hacking and thrashing is concerned but I knew the HIPPO and AZmodel kits were out there somewhere.
After years of passive searching I found two kits listed, I bought one and it arrived today.

Unopened, brandy new in factory sealed bags.

It came with these nifty wire wheels that i will not use on this build.

I already have the Aviattic decals I was going to use on the Aurora kit.

I'm not known to be a patiant person but I'm glad I did not jump into the Aurora kit. I'm thrilled the HIPPO turned up !!

Thanks,
Allan Buttrick

Thanks for the info but I will pass on that one because of the price, postage cost from the USA to GB and potential tariff but it has sparked my interest and ,like you did, I will passively look for one. I can wait.
