There are some new photos over at The Memorial Flight Assoc which have some interesting details for the detail afflicted among us.

Here is a photo of the aileron gap cover which is not mentioned in the WNW instructions but is noted in Maurice Brett's plans







Petrol filler cap and breather tube in the top wing above the gravity tank:





Strapping details on the under-wing fuel tank



Manufacturers marks on the wing spars and drain hole in the fabric





Reinforcing (leather?) around the strut attachment fittings



Stacking bumps on the leading edge of the upper wing and a placard of some sort:



And on the lower wing:



And on the lower wing with reinforcing around the entry of the drag wire



Plywood walkways





I can't wait for this aircraft to be exported to NZ!

Thanks James for the brilliant photos, they will certainly help anyone who is building this kit. She will be a magnificent sight in the air and will fit in extremely well with the other TVAL aircraft, any idea when completion date will be.

It has been around three months since The Memorial Flight posted their last update on the LVG C.VI and I had begun to wonder what was happening. Now they have uploaded some more photos on their website:

"The aircraft is now back on its landing gear. The wings are now installed as you can see and final rigging cables are being finished. Water pipes were installed as well. The cowlings are also in progress. We are also offering you a photoscope of one of the seat belt, replicating the original one of course. Finally, we are currently filling the aircraft with water, oil and fuel. Next step : first engine run !"

I wonder who the source is for their lozenge--it looks very much like what's on the TVAL Albatros D.Vas.

Probably it comes from TVAL. BTW, have you spotted the Albatros fuselage in the pictures?
